The Purpose of the National Club is to: Establish the International Harvester Collectors as an identity to which collectors of IH products can relate: promote IH collecting, restoration and show displays through communication among members; help preserve, research and complete the history of the IH company; aid shows who feature IH with a file of member's show pieces; hold a large annual show (Red Power Roundup) in conjunction with an IH feature at a different host show each year.
Purpose of Local Chapters: The chapters organize and support local shows to create interest in the heritage of the International Harvester Company and equipment; hold and participate in annual state shows; work together to provide locations for the Annual National Red Power Round Up, Winter Conventions, and IH Auction; provide local newsletters, hold meetings with family involvement, promote IH collecting, restoration and show displays, and support the national organization.
Club Member Benefits: Members receive a quarterly publication, 'Harvester Highlights', which provides information on club business; reports from various committees; upcoming show listings; news from chapters; feature stories, restoration information and limited free publication of wanted and for sale ads. Insurance is provided for members at club sanctioned shows. A Red Power Roundup is held during the summer each year, bringing together the total membership for showing tractors, fellowship, fun, and a general meeting including election of National officers. Each year there is a winter convention with mainly inside events, speakers, banquet, and general meeting of attendees. An all IH auction supported by chapters is also held annually. These events are held in different locations each year with the location being voted on by the membership at the Red Power Roundup some two years in advance. The club also supports displays at local farm shows.
The national club boasts 6,000 members with 35 chapters in the US and two foreign countries growing from its formation in Winamac, Indiana - 1990. We are provided insurance coverage by a blanket policy from MBAH Insurance , Lafayette, IN. The limits are $1,000,000 each occurrence, and $1,000,000 Personal & Adv Injury. This coverage extends to all chapter's sanctioned or named shows but does not provide coverage for tractor pulls, kiddie pulls or tractor rides that may occur at these events.
What a bargain- the national dues are $15.00 per year and the Lone Star Chapter dues are $10.00 per year. Look at what you get for only $25.
